WYEP’s music collection is the largest and most diverse of its kind in the region. Development of the project clearly established the music at the center of the station’s operation; formally, functionally, and symbolically. Positioned at the entrance, the collection of 35,000 compact discs underscores the station’s commitment to being “where the music matters.” Flanking the library, administrative offices are to one side, and the broadcast studio, with the iconic red “on air” light, to the other.
